To activate your NetID you will need to complete the following steps:
  1. Locate your SUID number

SUID = 9 digit number on your SUID card, or for students, this number is on your Admissions letter.

  3. Create a NetID password. The rules are shown on the right.

  4. Think of a challenge question and answer.
If you forget your password, you will be able to reset it by answering your challenge question correctly. Create a question for which you know the answer, but that is not common knowledge.

For example: "where was I born?" or "what's my mother's maiden name?" Remember that your response is case sensitive.

  5. You are now ready to activate your account.

What is a PIN?

Your ORIGINAL PIN is the day (2 digits) and year (4 digits) of your birth. For example, if you were born on February 8, 1980, your initial PIN would be 081980.

This is the same PIN used by MYSU and SCORE - student registration. If you have changed your PIN there, use the updated PIN here.

If you are a faculty or staff member, contact your Information Coordinator to have your PIN reset.

If you are a student, contact the Computing and Media Services Call Center at 443-2677 during normal business hours to have your PIN reset.
