Students who live off campus should consider subscribing to a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect to the SU campus network and the Internet.

The following ISPs are some of the options available:

Verizon (1-877-525-2DSL)
America Online (1-800-374-4747)
Netzero (1-888-349-0029)

Students living in SU residential facilities connect to the Internet through the University's wired and wireless network services.

Discounted Rates for SU faculty and staff:
Fulltime SU faculty and staff members receive a discounted rate, if they subscribe during special "SU Enrollment" periods: 8/1-9/30 and 1/1-2/15 (additional charges are applied for multiple devices, maximum of four). Those who subscribe to the service outside of the discount enrollment periods pay the regular rate until the next "SU Enrollment" period.
An additional monthly charge may apply for those who do not subscribe to Time Warner cable.
Departmental accounts:
In some cases, SU departments have arranged with ITS Telecommunications to bill the University directly for Road Runner accounts for staff. Staff members who believe they qualify for this program should fill out the application on the Telecommunications Web site at http://telecom.syr.edu/service/rr.html.
