wireless computing home

Syracuse University's Information Technology and Services (ITS) provides a secure wireless network for students, faculty, and staff, called AirOrangeX. Based on an authentication and encryption framework called 802.1x, AirOrangeX provides an encrypted connection from a client's wireless computer, and eliminates the need for clients to login every time they connect to the wireless network. After the computer is initially configured for AirOrangeX, subsequent secure authentications to the wireless network will automatically happen.

Please note: AirOrangeX is the wireless network of choice for campus users with NetIDs, unless your device does not support the secure protocols used on AirOrangeX. Any device with a web browser can use the slower and non-secure AirOrange network.

Visitors will use AirOrangeGuest.
