Connecting to AirOrangeX
(Requires NetID and version 2.0 or newer device software)
- From home screen, press the Settings button
- Click Wi-Fi
- Turn Wi-Fi on, if not already on
- Choose AirOrangeHelp on the "Choose a Network" screen
- Return to Home Screen
- Open Safari, enter www.syr.edu in browser
- AirOrangeX help page will open
- Follow instructions for configuration for iPhone, and how to move to AirOrangeX network.
Connecting to AirOrange (Guests)
- Anyone with a NetID can configure a guest account, see http://airorange.syr.edu
- Proceed once you have a guest account created for you
- From home screen, press the Settings button
- Click Wi-Fi
- Turn Wi-Fi on, if not already on
- Choose AirOrange on the "Choose a Network�" screen
- Return to Home Screen
- Open Safari, enter www.syr.edu in browser
- Enter your guest ID and password
- Continue on to the network
Please note- Occasionally, iPhones and iPod Touch devices have difficulty in switching from one wireless
network to another. If this seems to be the case for you, either re-selecting the wireless network you'd
like to connect to under "Choose a Network" screen, or restarting your device usually help. This is a
known condition with the devices, and not an issue with the University's wireless networks.
