Debbie Gardner

Debbie is an accounting and information technology professional with a background in constituent relationship management software, admissions, business administration, project management, human resources and system implementation.  She has over 20 years of experience in the corporate sector and over 13 years in the higher education environment.

Debbie began her career as an accountant for various small businesses in Syracuse.  She moved briefly to Bethesda, Maryland to expand her career and experience to include large corporations and international business experience, and eventually returned to Syracuse.  By joining IQE, a software development and support organization as a business analyst in 2000, she successfully transitioned from accounting to an information technology career.  She later joined Telergy, Inc, an integrated high speed fiber optic broadband telecommunications service, to support the PeopleSoft Financial application. She then accepted an opportunity with Syracuse University in the Office of Human Resource to support the PeopleSoft HRSA product. 

Debbie joined the Syracuse University Enterprise Process Support division of Information Technologies and Services in January 2012 to provide project management for administrative and academic units across campus.  She’s worked with Archives and Records Management to implement their Archivists Toolkit; Enrollment Management on the implementation of Salesforce CRM system, the Office of Academic Programs for an Assessment tool for accreditation support, and with graduate recruiters in all of the schools and colleges at Syracuse University to implement the CRM for them.  Additionally, she was project lead on the PeopleSoft 8.0 upgrade for HR.

Debbie is a member of the TargetX Client Advisory Board and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Le Moyne College located in Syracuse New York.
