1. Navigate to the MySite signup page, http://mysite.syr.edu
2. Log into the site using your NetID account and password
• For NetID issues, visit http://netid.syr.edu or email ITS at consult@syr.edu
3. Upon log in the FIRST TIME, you will see the following screen by default:



Option 1: Create new MySite personal website

Select this option if you do not have an existing personal website hosted elsewhere that you wish to redirect to.

• Click Create MySite.
• Your MySite will be created. Make a note of the address.

Option 2: Create new MySite address and�

Select this option if you do have existing personal website hosted elsewhere and wish to redirect MySite traffic to that website.



• To redirect your MySite to an existing website URL, click on that radio button and enter the website URL.
• To redirect your MySite to another webserver, click on that radio button and enter the web server IP address.
• Click Create MySite.
• Your MySite will be created. Make a note of the address.
4. The URL of your MySite web space is http://yournetid.mysite.syr.edu.
