Cable Television

Cable Television - Standard cable service (70 + digital HD channels) is provided in all Syracuse University residential facilities. There is at least one cable outlet per suite/room. No sign up is required. You will need to bring your own cable ready television.

You will need to bring your own coaxial cable so you can connect your television to the cable jack in your room.  We have recently converted our residence halls from Analog to Digital HD television. Most televisions manufactured after 2007 are compatible with this Clear QAM technology. If your television is not compatible, telecommunications will loan a converter box free of charge. Contact the ITS Helpdesk at for more details.

If you have a digital converter, please view your channel lineup on our Digital Converter Setup and Channel Lineup page.
