Getting Started with Claude Enterprise

Claude Enterprise is an advanced AI assistant by Anthropic, now available to Syracuse University faculty, staff, and students. Follow the steps below to request access and get started with Claude.


Part 1: Requesting Access

1. Visit the Microsoft Access Package portal. You’ll need to sign in with your Syracuse University NetId@syr.edu email address if you have not already authenticated.

What you’ll see:

  • Claude Enterprise request page
  • A “Continue” button at the bottom

Action Required: Click the “Continue” button to proceed.

2. After clicking Continue, you’ll see the “Additional questions” page where you can review the Anthropic Usage Policy.

What to do:

  1. Review the Anthropic Usage Policy 
  2. Select “I Agree” from the dropdown menu
  3. Click the “Submit request” button (you do not need to provide a business justification)

After you request access through the portal, you will receive an email from Microsoft, which you can disregard. At this point, you can safely close the Microsoft Access Package portal tab in your browser.


Part 2: Logging In to Claude Enterprise

Your access request should be automatically approved. You can now log in to Claude Enterprise using your Syracuse University credentials. 

Important: If you already have a Claude account, log out and then log in using the instructions below.

Log-in instructions:

  1. Navigate to claude.ai
  2. Enter your Syracuse University email: NetId@syr.edu
  3. Click the Continue with SSO button
  4. Complete Syracuse University authentication if prompted

Important: Use your full Syracuse University email address (NetId@syr.edu).
