System Availability

Weekly Outage Windows

Information Technology and Services (ITS) computing and network systems may be unavailable for weekly routine maintenance activities or upgrades during the day- and time- periods listed below:

  • Tuesday: between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. (on the third Tuesday of every month: between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.)
  • Saturday and Sunday: between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.

NOTE: Under some circumstances, the outage windows listed for Saturday and Sunday may be extended beyond the 10 a.m. outage window. In those cases, every effort will be made to ensure that affected members of the campus community have been given as much advance notice as possible; that there are no scheduled, special activities that would be seriously affected by the outage; and that the system is restored as quickly as possible.

MYSLICE

Information about planned downtimes for MySlice and the services that are accessed through MySlice is also posted on MySlice Announcements.

Information technology personnel who need to schedule a downtime for system maintenance and/or upgrades must first submit a request to Change Management.

All systems require regular maintenance to keep them healthy. Below are the days and times that our systems are unavailable.

Request Availability

An example of this would be because a department needs to use this system for a major project outside of regular business hours.  To request an extension to standard availability for a particular system, please complete this form.

Requirements
  • Requests must be submitted the Wednesday afternoon prior to the date of when you would like the system to be available.
  • This request is not guaranteed approval.
  • Submitters will receive a response from the department if any scheduling conflicts exist.
