July 29 – Interactive Video Learning with PlayPosit with Online Learning Services IT Analyst Shannon Pitt. PlayPosit is a tool that is used to create videos that are interactive. Interactions such as questions, files, and web links are embedded in the videos. These interactive videos can be used in a variety of ways, including: onboarding new staff, providing training on specific applications or software, and delivering orientation content to students. These videos can be distributed to consumers to boost accountability and simplify tracking.
August 12 – Orange Access: Modernizing Identity Management with Director of Identity and Access Management Dan Edwards. Orange Access is the University’s new identity and access management platform that is set to replace the decades-old FAST system, bringing a modern, secure, and user-friendly approach to how faculty, staff, and students manage their digital identities. This session will include a high-level overview of the Orange Access project and why it matters, a live demonstration of key features and improvements, information about the rollout timeline, and what is changing or staying the same for users.
